LA is not in the dark about energy conservation!
But hopefully tomorrow we will be -- literally.
Lights Out Los Angeles is a county wide energy conservation event taking place this Saturday, October 20. Lightsoutla.org is asking all LA residents to do two very simple things in an effort to fight climate change.
1: Turn off all non-essential lights for one hour, specifically between 8-9 p.m.
2: Install one compact fluorescent light bulb.
It is estimated that if enough people get involved we could save as much as 15% of the energy we use on an average Saturday night.
So stop being an energy consuming jerk! At least for one hour...
