Every once in a while, we realize that we are working with a bunch of new bands/artists that we are really excited about. This is one of those times.
PlayRadioPlay! is a 17 year-old guy named Dan who makes really great music by himself in his house. The songs remind me of The Postal Service. PRP! is playing a bunch of dates on Warped Tour and I predict that Dan is going to charm the pants off everyone.
The Almost is Aaron from Underoath's other band. This is no 'side project' though. The music is intense and catchy. You should definitely check out their interaction with the revolutionary new
iScape device.
We've been blithering like lunatics about
Cold War Kids for months now. Well, many fellow Americans have begun to take notice and the band is starting to get some respect from radio stations and MTV...we feel like proud parents!
You are going to be really surprised to hear what
Mandy Moore's new record sounds like. Girl has really grown up and away from her bubble gum past! It is going to be great fun to see people who assume they don't like Mandy's music come around and get hooked. She's got folks like Rachel Yamagata and John Mayer playing on the record...not for babies!
We're not officially working with
Silversun Pickups, but they are local favorites who are finally getting their due. Check them out if you like to rock. I'm also way into new records by Winterpills, !!!, The Rosebuds, Maximo Park, Tokyo Police Club, and The Western States Motel.
