Drawings...with light

Centripital Notion, a very chique art/architecture/generally- interesting-stuff blog has a very cool write up about artist Eric Staller, who uses light incorporated with scenery in pretty stunning ways. To quote CN:

"Using a tripod, long exposures, and various light sources (sparklers, Christmas lights wrapped around a hula hoop, etc.), Eric Staller created these beautiful light drawings in New York City during the late 70’s."

Check out more light drawings at Centripital Notion, and more of Eric's artwork at his site.

Live in LA and looking for something fun to do tonight? Check out the opening extravaganza for the latest exhibit at Gallery 1988 - I AM 8-BIT (Version 2.007). This amazing new show features over 100 artists redreaming their favorite videogames of the 80s. Plus, as if that's not enough, stop by to play Mega Man 2600 (exclusively developed for the show to celebrate the Blue Bomber's 20th Anniversary) on a working, giant 5-and-a-half foot Atari 2600 controller! If you're a child of the 80s or just have a soft spot for old school video games ranging from Atari to Nintendo and Sega, you will not want to miss this. See you there...
